Worldlink Tours promotes golf to passengers on luxury cruise

Worldlink Tours together with their global golf tour promoting company was able to get 19 cruise passengers on the luxury cruise liner Deutschland which called over in Colombo on 23 December to play a round of golf at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
“We are passionate about golf and we understand the game. Hence when our global golf partner wanted us to handle the golf package for this group, we were able to offer them the best. Transport from the port to the Golf Club, booking of TEE times and coordination with the club for the caddies were done to such an excellent extent that most of the golfers were sad that they were able to play only one round of golf,” said Worldlink Tours Director Gerard Amerasinghe.
As the entire group were Germans, Ambassador of Germany Dr. Jurgen Morhard was invited to play the round with the group. Morhard an excellent golfer himself in his welcome speech said that Sri Lanka has four more golf courses and explained to the group about the golf courses in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and China Bay.

“The group had played GOLF in a few other courses while on this cruise. Ms. A. Hess a member of the group owns a leading golf magazine in Europe. She said that she is going to do a write up about the RCGC which looked so beautiful and also about the other courses in Sri Lanka. She was fascinated about the rail track that runs across the course and commented that it’s a unique feature of the RCGC,” commented Gerard.
