The world’s best airports have been named at the annual Skytrax World Airport Awards, with South Korea’s Incheon Airport taking out the honour for the second time after its first win in 2009.
The awards, announced at a gala ceremony in Vienna last month, are based on surveys conducted by Skytrax with 12 million passengers participating at 385 airports over a 10 month period.
Incheon was ranked in the world’s top five for eight of the 10 award categories.
Asian airports dominated the top 10, with Singapore’s Changi Airport in second place and Hong Kong International Airport in third.
London’s Heathrow narrowly missed the top 10, placing at number 11, while Sydney Airport placed at number 20 – up 20 spots from the previous year’s results.
The top 20 airports are:

3. Hong Kong International Airport
4. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
5.Beijing Capital International Airport
6. Munich Airport
7. Zurich Airport
8. Kuala Lumpur International Airport
9. Vancouver International Airport

11. London Heathrow Airport
12. Copenhagen Airport
13. Auckland International Airport

15. Frankfurt Main Airport
