Admissions open for MSc. in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering at SLIIT

Admissions are currently open for MSc. In Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering from the prestigious Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) – UK conducted at SLIIT.
This is the second intake of this Masters Degree program which has been designed for students who poses a background in engineering and relevant scientific fields, who seek to enhance their skills and become specialists in electronic and telecommunications engineering.
Participants will acquire an in depth understanding of design, development and maintenance of current telecommunication and electronic systems through this advanced degree program. As a component of the, candidates will complete a major project, supported by a project supervisor, in an area of their choice.
“This internationally reputed Master’s Degree in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering will provide participants with in-depth knowledge of the necessary components for the telecommunications and electronic engineering industry,” said Professor S. Karunaratne, Chairman of SLIIT. “The curriculum is structured in a manner that will prepare students to take on the most complex issues in modern telecommunication systems by supplementing their learning trajectory with practical investigation and problem solving methods.”

The MSc. and Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering program will be conducted at SLIIT’s centrally located Metropolitan Campus in Colombo 3 on Saturdays and at the picturesque SLIIT Malabe Campus on Sundays.
Candidates applying for the MSc. Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering must possess a B.Eng. (Hon) Degree in Electronic Engineering from SHU – UK, or any other recognised degree in a relevant field accepted by SLIIT, or an Associate Membership, Graduateship (as appropriate) or equivalent of a recognised professional institute in a relevant field with a minimum of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining such membership acceptable to SLIIT.
