Asia eUniversity (AeU), started  under the Asia Corporation Dialogue (ACD), is the only university in the world with the official endorsement of more than 31 member countries, including  developed countries such as Singapore, Korea, Japan along with less developed nations such as Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

The AeU was established initially to support e education in these countries and is currently offering blended programs to facilitate more effective teaching and learning.

Academic Director Kapila Dodamgoda of the program commented, “The MBA, which is fully accredited by Malaysian Qualification Agency is the flagship program of AeU offering a comprehensive program of fourteen subjects combining the whole spectrum of knowledge required by the modern executive. These areas cover core functional specialties, operational management aspects and organisational strategic direction. The 14 subjects and the dissertation can be completed within 18 months at the Asian College of Management learning centre.”

During the learning cycle students go through comprehensive face to face learning sessions complimented with e learning material, original text books and access to some of the best online libraries in the world. The interactive sessions and assessments include class room debates, case studies, application of special software packages on project management, and operational research and computer simulations. The students will be guided by an expert panel of lecturers with a perfect blend of industry experience and academic know-how.

AeU has been focusing mainly on two areas from the inception. One is the area of postgraduate studies, where most of the students are following their Masters or PhD through the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), School of Management (SOM), School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT) and School of Education and Cognitive Science (SECS). The other area is professional and executive education offered through The School of Professional and Executive Education (SPEED). Out of the total student population of around 9,000, about 600 are doing their PhD studies, more than 2,000 are doing their Masters and the rest are continuing their professional education.

The first batch of Sri Lankan students who followed the MBA program through Asian College of Management graduated in April 2012. Registrations are now open for the August 2012 batch.
