Bank of Ceylon rewards academic excellence of Grade 5 Scholarship winners

Bank of Ceylon organised ceremonies to appreciate the achievement of three students who ranked in the top three of the Grade 5 scholarship exam in 2012.



This is a special token of appreciation made by Ran Kekulu – the Children’s Savings Account of BOC that empowers today’s generation to be achievers of the future.

Students were awarded with cash prizes worth of Rs. 100,000 each by Bank of Ceylon. The students were Anjali Upeksha Madhuwanthi, of Thalathuoya Kanishta Vidyalaya, Kisara Sandaluka Kodithuwakku of Richmond College – Galle and Sachith Adithya Bandara of Kadana Seventhday Adventist High School.

In addition the respective schools were also awarded with Rs. 50,000 cash prizes by BOC.

Bank of Ceylon Assistant General Manager (Southern Province) D.K.N. Piyasoma presented a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 to Kisara Sandaluka Kodithuwakku of Richmond College Galle, who secured the island first place in the Grade 5 Scholarship 2012. An additional cash prize of Rs. 50,000 was presented for the development of common facilities of the school. Principal Colonel A.M.S. Ekanayake, Minister of the Southern Provincial Council U.G.D. Ariyatilleke, Area Manager Galle T.V.S. Wasantha, as well as Manager of Super Grade Branch (Galle) S A Hemajith of Bank of Ceylon were also present

 
Bank of Ceylon Assistant General Manager (Central Province) E.M.S.K. Dangampola presented a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 to Anjali Upeksha Maduwanthi, the island first place winner at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2012 and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 to the Thalathuoya Primary School for the development of its common facilities. Present at this occasion were Principal Y.M.A.H.G.G. Muthubanda, Class Teacher S.H.M. Heenmenike, and Operations Manager Cyril Bandara of Bank of Ceylon

 
Bank of Ceylon Metropolitan Branch Assistant General Manager Wasantha Hettihewa awarded a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 to Sachith Adithya Bandara who emerged at third place (all island) at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2012. Another cash prize of Rs. 50,000 was presented to the Seventh Day Adventists College in Kandana, for the development of the common facilities of students. BOC representatives W. Ranjith, Senior Area Manager – Western Province (North) Area 1 and S.K. Gajanayake, Manager – Kandana Branch also joined in the presentation ceremony
