Science and Technology Minister Prof. Tissa Vitarana ceremonially declared open the Benedictine Science Exhibition 2011 ‘CUBE on 15 September at the college premises, amidst a large gathering of priests, Lasallian brothers, teachers, students, old boys and well-wishers.
The exhibition will be held until 17 September from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will showcase the creative abilities and sprouting potentialities of the students.
The student’s efforts will be backed up by guidance and expertise of reputed institutions, organisations and Government bodies such as the Central Bank, Archaeological Department, Medical Faculty of the University of Kelaniya, Zoological Section of the Ministry of Health, NARA, Sri Lanka Telecom and the Army, Navy and Air Force, to name a few.
A musical evening ‘Benedictine Splash’ has been organised at the college quadrangle on the final day of the exhibition, Saturday 17 September, from 7 p.m. onwards, featuring popular old Benedictine bands, ‘Mirage’, ‘Rebels’ and a choral presentation by the world renowned all Benedictine choir ‘VoicePrint’.
