CA Sri Lanka’s Open Day on BSc. in Applied Accounting

The open day organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) to propagate the importance of its BSc. in Applied Accounting degree, enjoyed overwhelming response with an impressive number of students and parents attending the event. The open day provided higher education seekers a unique opportunity to learn the various benefits of the BSc. in Applied Accounting including its course content, key learning areas, special exemption scheme for students of CA Sri Lanka, special loan schemes and installment payment schemes available with partner banks Hatton National Bank & Peoples Bank. The open day also paved the way for students and parents to meet members of the faculty including qualified professors, senior university lecturers and industry professionals, and be part of a Q & A session, so that students and their parents could clarify on any issues they had with regard to the degree and its standing. The open day also allowed students to explore the modern learning facilities offered at the CA Sri Lanka premises where the degree programme is conducted. Students who were interested to pursue the degree program, which has been recognised by the  University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka, also gained spot admission for the September 2014 intake, which was the third intake since the degree was launched in March last year. The multi-disciplinary degree program consists of several modules covering Business Communication, Economics, Project Management, Corporate Law, Human Resource Management and Information & Communication Technology.
