Call for proposals under Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Research Programme 2012

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India and the Ministry of Technology and Research (MoTR), Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka concluded a Programme of Cooperation (PoC) in Science and Technology, on 23 September 2011.

In terms of the PoC, funding can be made available for selected joint research projects and workshops in bilateral mode involving scientists and technologists from India and Sri Lanka, in the following areas: Food Science and Technology; Nuclear Technology Applications; Oceanography and Earth Science; Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals; e. Materials Sciences; Medical Research, including traditional medical systems; and

Spatial Data Infrastructure and Space Science.

The DST and the MoTR have invited Indian and Sri Lankan scientists/researchers to submit proposals for Joint Research Projects and Bilateral Workshops in any of the above areas in terms of the provisions set out. The details of the call for proposal are enclosed and can also be seen at the High Commission of India website (www.hcicolombo.org). The closing dated for receiving proposal is 29 February.
