Mercury Institute of Management being the pioneers in bringing tuition for the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification to Sri Lankan students initiates the CFA Level 2 revision program for candidates facing June 2014 exams. Commencing in the first week of February classes will be conducted on Sundays for the convenience of candidates, most of whom are working professionals currently holding responsible positions in their respective fields of work. The CFA program has been the most widely known and respected investment credential in the world, which emphasises on the highest ethical and professional standards and offers an excellent foundation to careers in the investment profession. Employers recognise the CFA charter as the definitive standard by which to measure the competence, integrity, and dedication of serious investment professionals, as they know the time commitment and dedication it takes to earn the qualification and they have the confidence on the CFA candidate’s or Charter holder’s ability, dedication, ethical grounding and the hard, transferable analytical skills necessary to do the job. The competent, experienced and profound lecture panel at Mercury includes many of the well known personalities which include Saminda Weerasinghe CFA, Prasanka Rajapaksha CFA, Buwaneka Bandara CFA, Jeewanthi Malagala CFA and Jayathu Perera, hence students can be assured of receiving not only a value for money service, but a confidence booster for the upcoming June examination. Commenting on the benefits of this uniquely tailor made program, Business Development  Manager Thilina Ukwatta stated, “We faced a heavy demand from students who have completed the CFA Level 1 at Mercury, for a program of this nature for Level 2, hence with no second thought we decided to launch to Level 2  program. Also we noticed that due to the heavy volume in the Level 2 curriculum, most self-studying professionals find it difficult to cope up with studying for this examination, where our structured program definitely helps to resolve this issue. All areas in the curriculum such as Financial Statement Analysis, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equity Investments, Portfolio Management, Alternative Investments, Corporate Finance, Quantitative Analysis, Economics and Ethics are specifically addressed via a question and answer (Q&A) approach where theoretical knowledge too is discussed along with. Our target is to discuss over 300 exam oriented questions covering major areas, so that candidates build their confidence and are pre-prepared in abundance to what they are going to witness at the examination.” Mercury Institute warmly welcomes all CFA Level 2 candidates sitting for the June 2013 examination to witness this unique exam focused program.
