CIM Toastmasters kicks off a series of education programmes

CIM Toastmasters Club, keeping in line with its theme ‘Igniting Excellence’ has organised a series of educational programmes.  The objective of this initiative is to enhance value created to its members and promote networking amongst CIM members and Toastmasters. 

The first programme of the series titled ‘Tasting and Toasting – Learn the Dos and Don’ts’ was held on 22 December at Hotel Intercontinental.

Asela Kumaranathunga, Brand Ambassador of Orient Lanka Ltd.; Toastmaster Priyanka Mendis, Manager – Sales and Services Training of Nations Trust Bank; and Toastmaster Nirekshe Perera, Customer Relationship Manager – American Express Cards of Nations Trust Bank shared their expertise at the workshop that was attended by over 50 participants.

Launched in 2008, CIM Toastmasters Club has evolved as a dynamic Toastmasters Club where the membership stands at 42.  Sri Lanka is the first country to launch a CIM Toastmasters Club and during its inaugural year itself the club was able to achieve the distinguish status. The mission of the club is to assist its members hone their public speaking and leadership skills in a friendly environment.
