Colombo School of Arts promotes Cambridge International A-Level Travel and Tourism

The future of global tourism, especially in Asia, is predicted to grow and expand over the next decade. It is imperative that professionals in the tourism and hospitality trades be prepared to face and overcome the challenges that the future brings.
The Colombo School of Arts (CSA), the international school with a mission to inspire and empower students by providing them with a holistic education, is pleased to announce that the school offers Cambridge International AS- and A-Level Travel and Tourism as part of its curriculum.
This Travel and Tourism program is a good introduction to the tourism and hospitality trades, which are key in Sri Lanka. CSA is one of the few international schools geared to offer this important internationally recognised course for young students who wish to excel globally in the areas of travel and tourism. The syllabus includes practical assignments while assessment is based on coursework and written examinations.
CSA’s Principal Shaleeka Jayalath is eager to offer students sitting for their local Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations the opportunity to sit for international examinations (i.e. London O-Levels and A-Levels) if they wish to do so. “Children should have a wider choice when it comes to subjects. The Travel and Tourism course will be available for Advanced Level students,” she says.
“By immersing our students in work related to their interests, our total approach to providing a holistic education will increase student engagement and promote skills and knowledge needed for achieving success in our students’ life and career goals,” she added.
CSA offers the Cambridge International Examinations O-Level and A-Level programs. A team of top academics and experienced teachers committed to delivering a well-structured education have been put in place to ensure that the students get the best possible opportunity to do extremely well.
Moreover, as part of its unique approach to education in the country, CSA is offering first year scholarships to young Ordinary and Advanced Level students who are prepared to work hard to obtain exceptional exam results. As the school specialises in the senior school study program, girls and boys who are 14 years and above stand to benefit from this unique offer.
