Dream comes true for students at Weerachchikattuwa Junior School, Puttalam

Weerachchikattuwa Junior School, Puttalam, is the only school in the Puttalam Education Zone where poor parents are able to send their children for education.

However, the students have been unable to do their studies because the building did not even have a proper roof.

The Principal of Weerachchikattuwa Junior School Puttalam J.A. Susila and the School Development Society informed Monitoring MP Mohan Lal Grero of the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Skills Development about this situation.

The Mohan Lal Grero Foundation intends to redevelop the small schools which are going to close. Under this program with the Chairperson of Singha Cement Dammika Kariyawasam and contributions by donators, the Mohan Lal Grero Foundation has constructed a new building for the students, which handed over on the new school term in 2013.

The Principal, all the teachers of the school, donators, members of School Development Society and parents participated in this special occasion.
