This year’s event will feature 370 stalls occupied by over 200 local and foreign universities and institutes. Over 20 countries will be represented directly or through their agencies in Sri Lanka, offering placements and spot admissions in diverse disciplines. Visitors can benefit from the scholarships offers, discounted course fees and many other special benefits offered by some exhibitors.
EDEX Expo Project Chairman Chandana Dissanayake stated that the EDEX Expo is a much sought after national event in the education calendar of Sri Lanka, which brings into focus one audience for the benefit of youth. The EDEX Expo will help the youth to reach their best potential and transform them as global citizens.
“There are still many hopes and dreams to materialise for all citizens of Sri Lanka, especially for the youth. We can hope to envision new horizons, new vistas and new pathways opening out for you in education and future as well,” he added.
He further added, “I am humbled to be associated with this greatest social initiative that will create two professional parallel platforms; one in terms of local and foreign education and the other in terms of career. EDEX Expo is essentially a professional platform where representatives of educational institutes, both local and foreign, and public and private enterprises meet and assist youths in their education or job.”
The EDEX Expo 2015 has many value additions such as EDEX Job Fair, EDEX Magazine, EDEX Think Green, EDEX Sithuwam, EDEX Live Your Dream and EDEX Careers all of which will be represented at the Expo showcasing their contribution towards supporting the vision of EDEX ‘Empowering Youth to be Globally Competitive’ and the visitors can experience the Career Guidance Seminars and Psychometric Tests which will continue with the addition of a new seminar series on ‘green entrepreneurship’ in collaboration with EDEX Think Green and Good Market organisers. This will be helpful to the job seekers who would have spent a long time looking for their first job, after the graduation.
