Eight years of unique service to the nation by Aspirations Education

Aspirations Educations (AE) is happy to announce its eighth anniversary in serving the student population having commenced operations on 1 January 2005. AE is one of the leading student placement service providers in Sri Lanka, which has representations with reputed universities and colleges around the world.

Their service enables students to make the right choice with confidence and convenience. The students who visit AE will receive one-to-one counselling service from well experienced team of professionals.  They guide the students and parents through the process of selecting the most suitable area of study considering the qualification and the financial strength of the student. Further, AE guides the student throughout the application and visa process to the country of their choice.

AE’s unswerving determination to be the best they can be as a corporate entity has won the admiration of international universities, principals, parents and teachers alike and they thank them all for their cooperation, encouragement and support. They also thank their team of dedicated present and past members of staff who have supported them to bring this institution to its high level of recognition as one of the leading career guidance and placement centres.

 We are happy to have been recognized by respective governments in our genuine and ethical efforts. They are indeed very happy to have been accepted by the United Nations Global Compact, a UN initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

At this crucial juncture, there is value in committing resources and effort in such an enterprise, and no amount of hard work could override the importance of this mission because giving hope to a new generation can be the only salvation in charting a new beginning for our country.

Since its inception in 2007, Aspirations Education Foundation (AEF) has granted 280 scholarships to deserving students from less privileged families. This covers nine provinces and 23 districts and AEF has spent already over Rs. 6 million in granting scholarships to students from Year Two to Year 13 and supporting 15 schools with infrastructure, furniture, computer education, books for libraries, ports goods and equipment with chemicals for laboratories and also financially supporting additional teaching staff to teach English and Tamil.  

Promoting agriculture as an income generation activity at schools as well as the village community is another aspect of development. The idea is to raise funds within the school to meet the school requirements without relying on outside assistance.

Knowing the value of the pre-school education, Aspirations ventured into support the development of pre-schools in the country by providing basic infrastructural facilities such as pipe borne water scheme for the children, furniture and play items to the pre-schools.
