The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), in keeping with its role as one of the country’s largest tertiary education providers, successfully spearheaded a series of seminars under its ‘Gurunena’ program in its continuing endeavour to enlighten and expand the knowledge of teachers in the commerce stream.

The seminar series, delivered by a panel of experts, was held across various parts of the country covering the south, north, east and even the commercial capital of Colombo targeting GCE Advance Level teachers in the commerce stream.

Due to the topical subjects covered in the ‘Gurunena’ seminar series, the demand for these seminars is constantly increasing and steps have been taken to cover all provinces across the country.

The most recent ‘Gurunena’ seminar was held in collaboration with the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Department of Education Ministry recently at Eheliyagoda Central College, with an impressive participation of over 200 teachers in the Sabaragamuwa Province.

Through the ‘Gurunena’ seminar series, teachers are not only given the necessary subject knowledge in the Accounting new syllabus but the seminars are also a platform to encourage them to teach accounting more effectively to students.
