When Sasanka met the Truman International Admissions Coordinator at a college fair in Sri Lanka that year, she knew immediately that Truman was the perfect place for her to study. With the help of the International Student Affairs Office at Truman, Sasanka was able to start an educational journey in a new country.
Today, Sasanka says that she is very happy with her choice. “I have built so many skills such as time-management, effective communication, public speaking, analytical thinking, leadership, flexibility, and adaptability. Most of all, I learned how to build a strong personality through humbleness, kindness, and resilience.”
Truman State University is a public university located in Kirksville, Missouri, a perfect town for college students. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance of campus and offer a variety of foods.
