Hayleys Toastmasters installs new office bearers

The Hayleys Toastmasters club installed its new office bearers for the year 2015/16 in a grand ceremony themed ‘Bring it On’ which was held recently. The club has added more flair to it this year with a vibrant set of office bearers who are ready to take on new challenges with aspirations to take the club to greater heights. 

The newly appointed Executive Committee comprises of Lasith Abeyagunawardana (President), Erangika Abeysirigunawardena (Vice President – Education), Nalaka Ratnayake (Vice President – Membership), Shenal Edirisinghe (Vice President – Public Relations), Buddhika Katugampola (Secretary), Gayan De Alwis (Treasurer) and Kalpana De Silva (Sergeant-at-Arms). 

The sixth installation ceremony of the club was held with much grandeur amidst a gathering of distinguished guests including Hayleys PLC Chairman and Chief Executive Mohan Pandithage and District 82 Past District Governor – Distinguished Toastmaster Zameen M. Saleem. 

The Hayleys Toastmasters Club which was initiated in December 2010 has grown from strength to strength over the years, developing the communication and leadership skills of its members. The club also celebrated its fifth anniversary during the installation ceremony, whilst recognising the achievements of the year which included the honour brought to the club by TM Erangika Abeysirigunawardena who was placed the first runner up at the 2015 impromptu speech competition at Division level.
