IFAC President meets students and lecturers of accounting bodies

International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) President Olivia Kirtley met with students of CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, CMA, ACCA, AAT and universities, as well as lecturers on the morning of 27 July at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, for an interactive session on ‘Corporate Governance, Ethics and Accountancy Education.’

During the session, Kirtley also spoke on IFAC’s strategic priorities for 2015 and the global trends in the profession, in addition to engaging in a question and answer session focused on accountancy education.

The welcome speech was delivered by CA Sri Lanka CEO Aruna Alwis. 

The panel discussion comprised of IFAC President Olivia Kirtley, IFAC CFO Russell Guthrie, 

Ernst & Young Partner/CA Sri Lanka Education and Curriculum Development Committee Chairman Manil Jayasinghe and Brandix Lanka Ltd. Group Internal Audits Head L.L. Suranga Indunil.
