The leadership of Augustana College (www.augustana.edu) recently warmly welcomed Priyanthi Dissanayake founder of Scholarships for USA Ltd. (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) from Colombo Sri Lanka to their campus in Rock Island Illinois USA. Within few months of her maiden visit to Augustana, Dissanayake succeeded in placing three excellent students for fall 2013 (all females) from the British School Colombo (www.britishschool.lk) and Gateway International School (www.gatewaycollege.lk) two top international high schools in Sri Lanka. Executive Vice President and VP Enrollment, Communication & Planning Kent Barnds commented that Lankans seems to be fitting very well at Augustana adding diversity and improving its community. He further added that it was obvious they were having a great experience. Priyanthi Dissanayake, a pioneer in introducing most affordable US universities to Lankan students since 2001 and the only Sri Lankan recruiter who exclusively promotes US universities, finds Augustana to be an excellent choice for Sri Lankans. A selective, private liberal arts and sciences school founded in 1860 and located in a scenic 115 acre wooded and hilly campus on the Mississippi river it offers nearly 90 majors covering many areas of study. With only 2,500 students (from across US and 20 countries) it’s a perfect school to be in close contact with one’s professors and to form lifelong bonds with other students. According to Dissanayake what’s most appealing to her students and parents are the very generous scholarships and credit transfers for A-Levels.
