INGRIN Institute will hold a one day seminar cum workshop on 6 October from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at its premises 290, D R Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10.

A spokesman said the workshop will be a great opportunity for art directors, graphic designers, printing supervisors among others both experienced as well as amateurs.

“This seminar/workshop will develop the design and printing skills of the participants through a series of highly practical sessions from design brief through print-ready artwork to print output with special emphasis on common mistakes, pitfalls, limitations as well as value addition, latest trends etc. on the subject,” the spokesman added.

The workshop will comprise two themes. One is ‘Design – not only print’ conducted by Smart Media - The Annual Report Company Chief Creative Officer Ananda Jagoda, covering subjects such as Worked with Limitations; Think Beyond Cyberspace; and CTP-Contribution to Profession. The other titled ‘Essential things that designers should know about print production’ conducted by INGRIN Institute Director of Studies/Senior Lecturer Thilak Premakumara will focus on print production process; assuring print quality and designers role in print production.
