Ivy league Cornell University announces 2nd program in Colombo

Cornell University USA, an Ivy League University founded in 1865 is amongst the eight oldest and most prestigious academic institutions in USA and among the most admired educational brands in the world. Ranked #2 in the world for Executive Education, Cornell is the first Ivy League University to offer Executive Development Programs in Sri Lanka. The first Executive Development program by Cornell was held in September 2014, at Water’s Edge. With only 35 seats of offer the seats for the Cornell Advanced Management Program the organisers had to turn down many applicants due to the program being sold out. The Advanced Management Program (AMP) is an engaging and interactive three-day program. Working side by side with peers across industries challenged by noted Cornell Faculty who are among the best minds of the business world, the AMP participants will gain valuable knowledge and insight into their own leadership abilities and ways to drive business strategy in complex and uncertain markets.                       The program covers Corporate Finance, Strategic Marketing, Leadership, Effective team building and management, Business Strategy Formulation etc. The Advanced Management program is delivered using Beacon Simulation; a computer based award winning Business Simulation with is used by many fortune 500 companies including Google and Microsoft. Beacon is designed to teach financial acumen, strategy and the importance of team work in an action-learning environment and will be used through the program to ensure that the learning is put into practice at the program itself.
