“You should embrace every opportunity that comes your way and grow with the diversity. Academics is only one part of education and the rest is experiences; learning to collaborate and working with others to enhance your skills and knowledge. Since you’re only 17 you need to remember the values your parents have imbibed in you. And most of all you need to enjoy the next four years.” These were the words of wisdom shared by Kasturi Wilson MD Hemas Transportation, Fellow Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and a former National Basketball player with Joseph Alegacone of Lyceum International Nugegoda recently accepted to Valparaiso University’s College of Business Administration in Indiana to pursue an undergraduate degree in Finance with an excellent scholarship and transfer credits. Joseph was placed by Scholarships for USA Ltd committed to make US education increasingly affordable to Lankans since ‘01 having already placed 300+ students from across the island. Valparaiso’s College of Business is AACSB accredited, positioning it in the top 25% of American business colleges. All students are required to participate in at least one internship or co-op prior to graduation (which is typically secured with the assistance of Valpo’s internship coordinator). In addition Valpo also offers an excellent MBA program, which its business undergrads can complete in just one additional year (five total years of study). Valpo’s Finance major in particular is quite popular with its international students, preparing them to hit the ground running in the professional world. Finance majors at Valpo often pursue careers as financial or investment managers, as investment bankers, or in similar fields. Students study key elements and tools in financial management and develop important analytical and communication skills. When asked about the quality of guidance and the reliability of SUSA Joseph responded, “I first met SUSA at my school’s annual career guidance fair. They are genuine, professional and caring. I loved the homely atmosphere as they operate from home. They are very fast and stay on course until the whole journey is over and waste no time. The fee charged is fully justified for the premier and exclusive service provided and I have no hesitation in recommending them to any student planning to study in US.”
