Kaplan Online Higher Education and Kaplan Professional enter Sri Lanka

Kaplan Online Higher Education and Kaplan Professional Education which are part of Kaplan Inc. is entering Sri Lanka to provide Sri Lankan working professionals with a range of postgraduate short courses and post-graduate degrees in the areas of finance, financial planning, business administration, banking, stock broking and real estate. Kaplan Online Higher Education (KOHE) draws on Kaplan’s global expertise, and the knowledge and experience of over 500 industry professionals from leading financial institutions, to offer a range of online courses. Kaplan Professional Education (KPE) offers a range of short courses both online and those that can be tailored to the requirements of financial institutions which can be provided in-house by knowledge experts from industry. In Sri Lanka Kaplan Online Higher Education and Kaplan Professional will be offered through FinServices Education which is an investment by Ataraxia Capital Partners. Ataraxia is already invested in the education sector in Sri Lanka through the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management at SLIIT which is the largest private hospitality and tourism training school. Ataraxia Capital Partners Head of Investments Sharad Sri states, “Many existing professionals in industry want to up skill however do not have the time to do so or the right qualifications that match the requirement of their workplace and industry. Since Kaplan courses are designed by industry professionals for industry and students can study at their own pace online it provides flexibility as well as real life working outcomes for students that can be utilised in the workplace.” The additional benefit of the Kaplan postgraduate qualifications is that there are exemptions in place for existing qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CFA, CPA, CA, GAA, GARP, ICAA etc. Also professionals can obtain exemptions and recognition based on industry experience.
