Lankaputhra Development Bank to take part in ‘EDEX Expo 2016’ Exhibition and Job Fair

Lankaputhra Development Bank (LDB) is set to take part in the EDEX Expo 2016, Sri Lanka’s largest Education Exhibition and Job Fair. This exhibition and job fair is to be held from 22 to 24 January at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) from 9am to 6pm. LDB’s stall will be Stall No.326 in Hall “F”.

LDB has made plans to promote the “Shasthree” higher educational loan scheme of the bank during the exhibition. All visitors to the LDB stall will be able to obtain both financial and other related advice through an experienced team of bank officials present at the stall.

“Shasthree” higher educational loan scheme has been specially designed to benefit the higher education and skills development of the student population of the country. It provides students the opportunity to obtain funds for Graduate, Post Graduate and Diploma-level higher studies. Students who are planning to pursue higher studies such as Post Graduate, Academic and Professional qualifications in locally and internationally-recognized educational institutes can obtain loans through this scheme. Under this loan scheme, they can obtain loans up to Rs.7.5 million with a repayment period that can extend up to a maximum of seven years. The bank offers flexible terms and conditions as well as competitive interest rates for all students.

Commenting on the bank’s participation at this exhibition, Lasantha Goonewardena – Chairman of LDB stated, “We, at LDB, invite all students to come to this exhibition and experience the difference of the “Shasthree” higher educational loan scheme. It will provide them with a great opportunity to interact with our experienced team and find out all necessary details on how to obtain a Shasthree loan for their higher education needs. LDB provides attractive interest rates for savings and a high interest rate for senior citizens’ fixed deposits. In addition to this, the Bank also offers microfinance loans,  pawning services, “Sandaliya” savings account for women and “Shasthree” higher educational loan scheme specially designed for the benefit of students interested in pursuing Graduate, Post Graduate, Academic and Professional studies in locally and internationally-recognised educational institutes.

LDB operates successful branches in Colombo, Hambantota, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Kegalle, Wennappuwa, Batticaloa and Trincomalee. The bank also operates Information Centres in Tambuttegama and Akuressa.
