Lasitha Madurawala from Lyceum International Wattala becomes the latest student placed by Scholarships for USA Ltd. (SUSA) at a US university with a generous scholarship and credit transfers based on his Cambridge A/Ls. Lasitha plans to major in Business.

When Lasitha forwarded his CV  SUSA was able to attract nine offers from four public universities and five private ones from eight States varying from sunny Hawai’i to cold North Dakota (and many in between) within a record time and each with competing scholarships, credit transfers saving time from one semester to full academic year, part-time work and summer internships. If Lasitha approached SUSA wondering which partnering school of SUSA would accept him for spring ‘16 now his predicament was selecting which one as each offered more attractive terms than the next. Having carefully examined each he settled on Truman State for its renowned quality of education, most affordable cost and the advanced placement recognising his sterling academic performance at A/Ls.

SUSA’s partnership with Truman State began in ‘11 and has been growing steadily with placement of brilliant achievers each year. SUSA’s partnership with the Lyceum Group of International Schools began in ‘07 with the placing of Rusitha Ukwatte (Nugegoda) at North Dakota State University (NDSU). Since then SUSA has assisted many of its scholars from Head Prefects and Island-Best Result achievers to average students to gain entry into scores of schools and always with scholarships and many other benefits. 

When asked for Lasitha’s comments on SUSA’s performance he said: “They were introduced by a friend of my mom who had obtained SUSA’s assistance in placing her son many years ago and she had nothing but highest praise for them. Had I not obtained their guidance (and tried doing it on my own) I would have never been able to attract so many sterling offers in such a short time. And I never thought I could enter the spring semester as I first contacted SUSA in mid-September but by the beginning of October I had accepted Truman’s offer and had submitted the application too.
