Taking the next step forward in what has been a long relationship, London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will expand the collaboration of the two institutions in key markets in the Middle-East, South Asia and North Africa regions. Signed in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the MoU enables LSBF and CIMA, the global leader in management accounting education, to utilise each other’s expertise and resources in the region. Students will benefit in a variety of aspects such as module exemptions, fee waivers, scholarships and access to LSBF’s career services. All this is in addition to access to LSBF’s cutting-edge online CIMA tuition, which includes remote support and a whole host of exam-focused resources. They will also have the option to combine their CIMA qualification with an Executive Education program which now offers Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points upon completion at LSBF. With the formalisation of this partnership signed by LSBF Director of International Strategy Komil Mamajanov and CIMA Regional Director for Middle-East, South Asia and North Africa Bradley Emerson, this joint project will see LSBF and CIMA working together to make award-winning online learning resources, skills training and comprehensive study support available to students in the region. “LSBF is proud to be working with CIMA to further grow the reach of both organisations within the region. Through our collaboration we will be better able to help our students choose, pursue and reach their career goals with the help of world-class qualifications such as CIMA,” said Mamajanov. LSBF Regional Director for Pakistan Faisal Azeem added: “The partnership being confirmed here today is a major step towards ensuring that students from the region will have access to the same innovative learning resources available to all LSBF students across the globe.” LSBF and CIMA have already established a strong working relationship which has seen them collaborate on several projects in the past. One such project of particular note is the CIMA Global Business Challenge, which took place in Pakistan in both 2012 and 2013.
