The batch of 2010/2011 of Lyceum International School Nugegoda held the annual Graduation Ceremony at the Galadari Hotel on 18 July from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event was overseen by both members of the management of the school and the parents of the past pupils.

The show was presided by such prominent figures of school such as the Managing Director Mohan Lal Grero; Coordinating Principal Kumari Grero and former Principal Asoka Weerasinghe.

Beginning with an introduction and note of welcome by two former Lyceum students, the show then proceeded promptly to an entertaining speech by Deputy Principal Nikitha Grero. Afterwards, more than 60 well-deserved awards were distributed by students to teachers of both A and O Levels, indicating the gratitude that the batch felt for their past teachers.

The ceremony was marked throughout by old acquaintances conversing and mutually talking about their respective futures and so on. The conversations were accentuated by photographers taking snapshots of proceedings throughout the event, as well as the batch members taking photos with their parents near the entrance of the Grand Ballroom where the event was unfolding.

Soon, the graduation itself unfolded – class member by class member being presented with tokens of certificates by their respective former class teacher – followed promptly by the much awaited dinner. The dinner, which lasted around 20 minutes, too was filled with music from the stage.

After dinner, it was a mixed affair, with a dance feature that lasted for around 15 minutes. Overall, it was a grand affair.
