Lyceum students excel internationally with Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards 2012/2013

University of Cambridge International Examinations honoured outstanding Cambridge learners in Sri Lanka who had completed Cambridge International Ordinary and Advance Level examinations during November 2012 and June 2013. The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards were presented at a ceremony held at The Kingsbury in Colombo. The Group of Lyceum International Schools has once again produced high achievers at the Cambridge Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advance Level (A/L) Examinations in November 2012 and June 2013. Lyceum students are excelling in their studies both at national and international levels. For the past twenty years, a large number of Lyceum students have been ranked Top of the World at the Cambridge International Examinations at O-Level, AS-Level and A-Level. This year, too Lyceum students have topped the exams that are conducted in more than 160 countries. In the category Top in the World, three Lyceumers  have bagged the first rank: At A-Level, Asel Indula Panduwawala ( Lyceum - Nugegoda ) ranked Top in the World in computing, Dinetha Sajindu Pramodhya Perera (Lyceum - Nugegoda ) ranked Top in the World in accounting and Kavindya Thennakoon ranked Top in the World in sociology (‘AS’ Level). In addition, Lyceum International Schools bagged a number of Top in Sri Lanka awards for A-Levels. The students who won these awards were Kavindya Thennakoon (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in economics, Pasindu Sanjula Perera (Lyceum–Nugegoda) in physics , Asel Indula Panduwawala (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in Mathematics, Thevin Udara Wanasekera (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in chemistry, Binuri Sulakna Gunaratne (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in biology, Dinetha Sajindu Pramodhya Perera (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in mathematics, Rusith Bimsara Grero (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in mathematics (AS Level), Fazil Ahamed (Lyceum-Wattala) in physics and Inara Uwyse (Lyceum-Wattala) in business studies. Lyceum International School also took away the Top in Sri Lanka awards for O-Levels. Natalie Kavindi Rodrigo (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in human and social biology, Vidushani Jayanga Dhanawansa (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in mathematics, chemistry and computer studies, Tharushi Amaya Sooriyaarachchi (Lyceum-Nugegoda) in biology, Thawalamawatte Hashini Sampathini Wickramathunga (Lyceum-Ratnapura) in Sinhala, Vinu Vihan (Lyceum-Wattala) in physics and Sadunni Samanthilaka (Lyceum-Wattala )in English literature. The High Achievers of Lyceum International Schools were Buddhi Madhushanke Ranasinghe in History: World Affairs 1917- 1991 (O-Level), Sandamini Supeshala Ethakada in French (A-Level), and Kavindya Thennakoon in sociology (A-Level) and in law (AS Level).
