Admissions are currently open for the MSc. in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering from the prestigious Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) UK conducted at SLIIT. This is the third intake of this Masters Degree program which has been designed for students with engineering and scientific backgrounds to enhance their skills necessary to become specialists in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. Participants will acquire an in depth understanding of design, development of modern telecommunications and electronic systems through this prestigious programme.

As a component of the program, candidates will complete a major project, supported by a project supervisor, in an area of their choice. “The curriculum is structured to prepare the participants to tackle the most complex issues in modern telecommunication systems by emphasising learning through practical investigations and problem solving.” Out of a variety, Communication Engineering, Digital Signal processing, Communication media, Advanced control methods, Computer networks, Machine vision, Network applications and Microprocessor Engineering are a few of the courses in this program.
Candidates applying for the MSc. Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering must possess a B.Eng. (Hon) Degree in Electronic Engineering from SHU UK, or any other recognised degree in a relevant field accepted by SLIIT, or an Associate Membership, Graduateship (as appropriate) or equivalent of a recognised professional institute in a relevant field with a minimum of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining such membership acceptable to SLIIT.
The MSc. and Postgr-aduate Diploma in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering program will be conducted at SLIIT Metropolitan Campus in Kollupitiya, Colombo 3 on Saturdays and at the SLIIT Malabe Campus on Sundays.
