Today Mercury Institute of Management  is synonymous as one of the leading Institutes  for providing quality professional education for many prestigious qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, CISI and the University of London degree.

Consisting  of a reputed and globally recognised lecture panel which has contributed to the high pass rates and world prize winners for  all exams of these  professional qualifications, Mercury Institute has once again initiated a unique program known as “Access” for the benefit of the students  who aspire to attain the University of London Degree .

This program  is a six months course that helps students to learn the core objects and skills and offer a sound knowledge of the subjects that are  required for the University of London  Degree.

Mercury Head of Academic Learning, Shaan Jayasekera stated, “In my 10 years of lecturing and preparing students for the University of London Degree has made me realise that students need to strongly build on their fundamentals in order to secure good grades at the exams. This is the key reason for us to launch this program which we felt would be immensely helpful for these students.”

The core subjects that apply to the degree include Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Business Management and  Economics. It also touches on writing and presentation skills along with an in-depth insight into what the examiners require. These  will prepare students  towards undertaking the first year subjects, in the chosen Bsc. Degree program.

The skills development units will give guidance on effective communication and a comprehensive understanding of appropriate analytical techniques that will prepare them for  the foundation that will in turn give them an edge when they commence on the International Bsc. Degree program. The Business study skills module will give the students the know - how on research methods as well as a good knowledge on learning and improving themselves on their  business analysis and decision making skills.

A total of 60 - 70 hours will  be allocated for the program that  will commence from March - August 2013. Special tuition classes  will  be covered during week days that consist of 4 hours per week.

In order to complete the access program, the student must complete the full units in the essential core subjects and skills development sections. The students will also need to sit for an exam and a final assessment at the end of the program that will be conducted  by Mercury.

At the end of the  assessment program the Mercury Institute will conduct a two - hour paper based examination, where the marked scripts will be provided to the students  and the allocated tutor, who would then carry out a counselling session with each student, addressing their strengths and areas that require development.

The “Access” program is  now being offered for the University of London degrees that consist of Bsc. in Economics, Bsc. in Accounting and Finance, Bsc. in Management, Bsc. in Economics and Finance,Bsc. in Business and Finance and  Bsc. in Business.
