Brent Leavell of Montana State University in USA recently made his maiden visit to Colombo. Montana State was introduced to the island by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd. (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) in 2007 when Priyanthi and Padmasena Dissanayake became the first-ever Lankan recruiters to visit Bozeman.

Since then, each semester MSU had been receiving few quality students from leading high schools such as Ladies, Lyceum/Wattala, Colombo International, and even a transfer student from University of Colombo.

A few of the students have been fortunate to be admitted to its elite and selective Honours Program putting them on the fast track. Top class education, affordability, availability of part-time work and summer internships, and a welcoming and caring community has made Bozeman a home away from home for the fast-increasing Lankan community.

SUSA revealed that a few more stars from leading international schools have already signed up for next fall. Brent was very happy to meet with few parents of current students, visit British School, S. Thomas’ Mt. Lavinia, Bishop’s College, and Lyceum/Wattala during his 48-hour stay.
