Prof. Ana Gowribalan Vamadeva (third from left) of University of Cincinnati visited Sri Lanka recently to meet with the batch of students placed by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd. (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) for fall ’12. UC is gradually increasing its popularity in Sri Lanka due to its globally ranked education and much reputed coop program, which has tremendously benefited current Lankans at UC in gaining valuable work experience with attractive salaries.

UC currently has two collaboration programs with the Institute of Chemistry and SLIIT and plans to send its first batch of students to take a few classes in Sri Lanka next summer under the ‘Study Abroad’ program. Sri Lanka was introduced to UC in 2007 when the Dissanayakes visited it during their annual summer visit to attract more US universities to Sri Lanka.
