Adding another feather to its cap, the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) commenced the fifth intake of MBAs in the UAE recently. The re-launched program two years ago is conducted through a lean model involving a blended learning approach with faculty from Sri Lanka flying to Dubai on a monthly basis. PIM Director Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri highlighted the vibrant presence of PIM’s MBA in the Middle East, in inviting the Sri Lankan expatriates to ‘be brilliant as an MBA’.
Sri Lanka Dubai and Northern Emirates Consul General Charitha Yattogoda participated as the chief guest of the event and appreciated the role played by the PIM in bringing in world-class masters education with a Sri Lankan flavour to the UAE. Parakrama Munaweera, a past-president of the PIM Alumni – UAE branch spoke on the importance of equipping oneself with a cutting-edge MBA. Deepal Rajaguru, the current president of PIM Alumni – UAE, who together with the executive committee played a key role in organising the event also spoke in appreciating the presence of a vast cross-section of the Sri Lankan professional community.
