Open Day for CA Sri Lanka’s BSc. (Applied Accounting) Degree tomorrow

School of Accounting and Business (SAB) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka has organized an Open Day for the 3rd intake of it BSc. (Applied Accounting) Degree on Saturday, 5th July 2014 from 10.00 am to 12 noon at 30 A, Malalasekera Mawatha, Colombo -07.
The Open Day will be a platform for higher education seekers to learn more about the Degree Program, which is the only BSc. (Applied Accounting) Degree Program in the country that is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
The Open Day will aid students and parents to become acquainted with the Degree Program including the course content, key learning areas, special exemption scheme for students of CA Sri Lanka, special loan schemes and installment payment schemes available.
They will also have the opportunity to get their queries answered individually, experience the facilities provided to students, and meet the lecture panel which consists of university professors, lecturers and professionals and to register for the September intake.
The main objective of the BSc. (Applied Accounting) Degree Programme is to create employable graduates with the required skills, competencies and industry knowledge to fulfil a successful accounting career. The Degree Program conducted in English is offered under two stages where students can either complete the Programme as a General Degree over a period of three years or as a Special Degree within four years. Professionals who are keen to enhance their professional prospects with a recognized Degree Programme have the option of following the Degree Program on weekends.
This multi-disciplinary degree programme consist modules in Business Communication, Economics, Project Management, Corporate Law, Human Resource Management, Information & Communication Technology and is conducted by a fully-fledged faculty comprising of qualified professors, senior university lecturers and industry professionals who are experts in the area.
