People’s Bank awards top GCE A/Level achievers

People’s Bank recently collaborated in felicitating students who were ranked All- Island first, second and third at the recently concluded G.C.E. (A/L) Examination. The felicitation ceremony was held at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena.

At the event, People’s Bank awarded the students who were ranked first, second and third with cash prizes of Rs. 100,000, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively. The subject streams pursued by these award-winning students for the G.C.E. (A/L) Examinations included Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering Technology and Bio-System Technology.

Vasantha Kumar - Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, People’s Bank, Renuka Jayasinghe – Deputy General Manager (Retail Banking), Sunil Ilukkumbura – Assistant General Manager (Retail Banking), People’s Bank and well-wishers including principals and teachers graced the occasion.
