Presidential installation of Colombo Toastmasters Gavel Club 2013/14

The Installation ceremony of the club officers for the Colombo Toastmasters Gavel Club 2013/2014 was held recently at the Royal College Skills Centre. The chief guest was the Principal of Asian International School Priyanthi Seneviratne and the guest of honour was Aravinda De Silva.
The officers installed were; President-Anushka Tiwari (Asian International School), VP Education Prathap Kumaraperuma (St. Joseph’s College), VP Membership Chamalka Perera (Gateway College), VP Public Relations Insaf Bakeer Makar (Elizabeth Moir School), Secretary Sumini Siyambalapitiya (Lyceum International School), Treasurer Afra Faisel (Bishops College) and Sergeant-at-Arms- Madusha Perera (Elizabeth Moir).
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were senior toastmasters and Past Presidents of Colombo Toastmasters Hussain Moosajee, Niranjan De Silva, Dian Abeyewardene, Haleem Ghouse, Yusuf Jevanjee and Mohamed Zawahir (the club’s mentor), along with the Malaysian Divisional Governor Ganesh Sangaran.
