Royal College Colombo Group of 85 elects new team

The Annual General Meeting of the Royal College Colombo Group of '85 was held at the ‘Raja Bojun’ recently where the Executive Committee members were elected for the year 2011/2012. The uniqueness of the 1985 group is that they are the 150th anniversary batch of Royal College. The group comprises of eminent Politicians, Businessmen, Specialist Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Military leaders and top educationists.

Uplifting school’s facilities, community focused projects and building strong fellowship amongst its members are key areas of focus according to the spokes person, of Royal College Group of ’85.

The office bearers include Rajiv Nanayakkara  - President, Viraj Weerasinghe - Vice President, Commodore Sumith Amerasinghe - Secretary, Saman Hewage  - Assistant Secretary, Sidath Balachandra  - Treasurer. Executive Committee: Dittha De Alwis, Sudath Liyanagunawardena, Dayashantha Mapa, Ajith Indikadulle, Rajendra Seneviratne, C.I Lucien Sooriyabandara, Mishantha Masinghe, Captain Athula Pothupitiya, Piyal Hewage, Dhananjaya Rajapaksha, Jehan Canegaratne and Ramesh Abeywickrama.
