Second intake for Cambridge ICFE course at ICASL to commence end June

The second intake for the globally recognised Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) course will commence on 26 June at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL), Colombo 7.

Targeting professionals in the finance and accountancy fields, the renowned programme aimed at enhancing the English language knowledge of professionals consists of a flexible 100 hours of blended learning with a mix of 75 hours online and 25 hours face-to-face tuition.



The ICFE course is offered solely in Sri Lanka by the ICASL in collaboration with the University of Cambridge (ESOL), the British Council and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The Institute in its continuous efforts to provide the best to finance and accountancy professionals embarked on this venture in January 2011 by offering this internationally recognized qualification right here in Sri Lanka, which has been designed especially for financial professionals to achieve greater heights in their career and also to aspiring students and trainees who seek gainful employment in the international finance arena by improving their English language to be on par with their international counterparts.

The course is poised to have a great impact in the field of finance and accounting and validates first-rate English language skills and the ability to converse with finance and accounting professionals throughout the international business community.

The ICASL is offering the best of learning environment for students following ICFE with numerous facilities such as free access to its state-of-the-art Multimedia English Language Centre and resourceful library given to all participating students. All lecturers for the course are specially handpicked and well trained by the British Council.

The inaugural batch which followed the ICFE course offered through ICASL completed their course successfully on 22 May 2011.
