Senal heading to Aloha State

Senal Rajamantri of Colombo International School was recently placed at Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) with a scholarship by Scholarships for USA Ltd. HPU is a small/medium size private university that specialises in liberal arts located in the Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu. Its rankings include ‘Best Undergraduate Return on Investment’ of any college or university in the state of Hawaii (Bloomberg Businessweek), is among ‘America’s Best Colleges’ (US News and World Report), one of the top 121 colleges in the Western region (The Princeton Review) and is the ‘Best Buy in College Education’ (Barron’s). It offers over 60 undergraduate and graduate programs in an average class size of 20 with a student-faculty ratio of 14:1. Honolulu, where the downtown campus is located, was recently ranked the third best city in America to live for its overall quality of life (Businessweek.com), third safest large city in America (Forbes), number three on the list of top 10 cities in America where residents feel the happiest and the healthiest in the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being index (USA Today), and consistently ranked among the cleanest, safest, healthiest and most ethnically diverse cities in America. According to Lindsey Garbenis, Associate Director – International Admissions, Senal will have numerous opportunities to engage in paid internships due to university’s location in the heart of state capital, giving him priceless working experience in the US in addition to acquiring a globally marketable degree. Since 2001, SUSA has been engaged in promoting US education across the island. The company’s mission is to leverage the world’s best education to turn the largest segment of Lankan youth into global professionals. SUSA is the only private entity in the island that promotes US education exclusively and is the only one to travel extensively in the US every summer (since 2006), discovering schools prepared to offer highest scholarships and early admissions to deserving Lankan students.
