SLIIT welcomes students for new academic year 2014/2015

SLIIT, the premier degree awarding institute in the fields of IT, business and engineering in Sri Lanka, welcomed yet another batch of ambitious and motivated students on 27 October at the SLIIT campus in Malabe. With over 4,000 participants at the inauguration, the academic staff of SLIIT, the management, the enrolled students and their parents were present at this prestigious occasion. Commencing classes on 28 October, this year over 1,000 students received the opportunity to be a part of one of Sri Lanka’s finest higher education institutes. Welcoming ceremonies were also held at the SLIIT Centres in Kandy and Matara. As the foremost tertiary institution in Sri Lanka to possess strong global links with many high-ranking universities, SLIIT has thus far produced over 9,000 graduates in the fields of IT, business and engineering with Bachelors and Masters degrees and a further 21,000 IT professionals, amounting to nearly half of all IT professionals in the country.
