Sri Lanka Foundation holds 2012 convocation

Sri Lanka Foundation, the centre for leadership, education and training successfully held its annual convocation 2012 on 26 November 2012. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Lalith De Silva, CEO of Mobitel.

Chairman, SLF Board of Study, and also a Member of the Board of Management of SLF Deshamanya Prof. W.D. Laksman, SLF Chairman Prof. Ranjith Bandara and members of the board of management and board of study also graced the occasion.

Those who successfully completed advanced diplomas, diploma and certificate courses in 2011 and 2012 were honoured at the event. The Sri Lanka Foundation is known to be the foremost and pioneering Adult Education Centre in Sri Lanka, established in 1974, consequent to an agreement between the Sri Lanka Foundation and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.

Today, the Sri Lanka Foundation is on a stronger footing under an Act of Parliament, the Sri Lanka Foundation Law No.31 of 1973. The Sri Lanka Foundation functions autonomously under the purview of the President of Sri Lanka and is managed by a Board of Management.

SLF as a centre of leadership, education, and training, offers a wide range of academic programs in dynamic fields namely social and institutional development, psychology and counseling, business and enterprise management, language and ICT, digital film academy, and tourism and hospitality management.
