TFC assures students of The International School a bright future

The Finance Company PLC, the first registered finance company known primarily to have served Sri Lankans for over 7 decades by offering an innovative range of financial products, is now actively involved in supporting the operations of The International School (TIS), Galle and Payagala giving greater assurance of a brighter future for the students and their parents.

The award ceremony of The International School was held on the 29th of October 2012. The Honorable Minister of Education, Mr. Bandula Gunawardana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The prize winners, their parents, teachers, several dignitaries in the southern region and the Chairman of TFC, Mr. Preethi Jayawardena were also present at this occassion. Prizes were awarded to top performers in the London-Edexcel and Local English streams from lower Kindergarten up to Advanced level subjects.  Major General Siril Ranaweera (Retd) USP, who was the former Director - Defense Services College and who plays a main role in planning the progress of TIS announced during this event that TIS will prosper under the new management committee comprising of Professor Ekanayaka –Former Dean of the Faculty of Business Management – University of Sri Jayawardanapura, Mrs. Kumudini Iddamalgoda- Council Member of the University of Moratuwa and Panelist of the Teachers Training College and Mrs. Rupa Amarasingha – Former Principal of Visakha Vidhyalaya, Colombo 04. The Chairman of TFC further to assured the students, parents and teachers by stating that TIS will become the best English medium school in the South and that TFC will provide all assistance for the school to reach this level.
