Zahira College shines at Islamic Quiz Competition 2013

Zahira College emerged the winner, defeating Isipathana College, in the finals of the Islamic Quiz organised by the Islamic Society of S. Thomas College, Mt. Lavinia, as part of their celebration of the 26th Islamic Day 2013 held on Saturday, 26 January.

The Chief Guest was Dr. Tariq Marikar and the Guest of Honour was Prof. Indra De Soysa, Warden of S. Thomas’ College.

Other schools that participated in the competition were D.S. Senanayake College, Muslim Ladies College, St. Peter’s College, St. Paul’s Milagiriya, Jeelan Central College, Bishop’s College, Royal College, Methodist College, Carey College, Hejaaz International, Alethea International and the host school.
